01Agreeing to these terms#

In short

By using Daily Planner, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

These Terms of Use ("terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of Daily Planner ("we", "us"). They cover the website, the installed app version, and every feature inside it.

By using the app, with or without an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

02Who can use the app#

In short

You must be 13 or older to make an account.

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You can't use the app if the law where you live doesn't allow it.

03Your account#

In short

Keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.

  • Use a real email you can access, so you can verify it and reset your password.
  • Keep your password private and don't share your account.
  • You're responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone else got in, use Settings → Log out everywhere, change your password, and tell us.
  • For your safety, you'll be signed out if you haven't opened the app in 14 days.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

04Using it without an account#

In short

Guest mode works fully, but your data only lives on that one device.

You can use the planner without an account. Your data is saved in your browser only. It won't sync, and it can be lost if you clear your browser data or lose the device. Some features, like the leaderboard and syncing, need an account.

05Rules for using the app#

In short

Be respectful, don't abuse the app, and don't try to get into things that aren't yours.

When you use the app, you agree not to:

  • Use leaderboard names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, or that pretend to be someone else
  • Spam or harass people with nudges, friend codes or feedback
  • Try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of the app you're not allowed in
  • Try to break, overload, scrape or reverse the app's security, rate limits or AI limits
  • Use bots, scripts or fake accounts to use the app or game the leaderboard
  • Use the app for anything illegal or to harm others

We may remove names, reset leaderboard entries, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

06Leaderboard and friends#

In short

Friends see your leaderboard name and streaks. There are limits to stop spam.

  • Joining the leaderboard is optional. You can leave at any time.
  • Your leaderboard name, friend code and streaks are visible to friends you add, and to signed-in users who have your friend code.
  • To prevent spam, you can add up to 10 friends a day and 50 in total, and nudge each friend once every 12 hours.
  • Names are checked by a filter, but it isn't perfect. Report bad names with Send feedback.

07Your content#

In short

What you write is yours. You let us store it so the app can work.

Your notes, logs, plans and settings belong to you. By using the app, you give us permission to store, copy and display them only as needed to run the app for you (for example, syncing them to your other devices).

If you send feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve the app without owing you anything. Thank you!

08AI-generated content#

In short

AI tips can be wrong. Use your own judgment.

Some practice plans, drills, rank names and project ideas are written by AI. AI can make mistakes, give outdated information, or suggest things that don't fit you. Double-check anything that seems off. There's a daily limit on AI requests to keep the app free.

09Health and wellbeing#

In short

The app is a planning tool, not medical advice.

Sleep goals, break reminders, screen-time tips and wind-down routines are general suggestions, not medical, mental health or professional advice. Everyone's needs are different. If you have trouble with sleep, health, or how much you game, talk to a doctor or someone you trust.

Listen to your body. Take breaks, stay hydrated, and stop if something hurts.

10The app itself#

In short

The app's design, code and name belong to the developer.

The Daily Planner name, logo, design and code belong to the developer, except for open-source libraries and third-party services, which belong to their owners. Game names mentioned in the app belong to their publishers, and Daily Planner isn't made by or connected to any game company.

11Third-party services#

In short

Some parts of the app depend on other companies.

The app relies on services like Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Google reCAPTCHA, GitHub Pages, Google Fonts, cdnjs and bible-api.com. Their own terms apply to their services. If one of them is down or changes, some features may stop working for a while.

12Changes to the app#

In short

The app is free and can change. Features may be added, changed or removed.

We're always improving the app, so features may change or be removed. We may also pause or stop the app. If we plan to shut it down, we'll try to give notice in the app so you can export your data with Settings → Export my data.

13Ending your use#

In short

You can leave anytime. We can suspend accounts that break the rules.

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or is used to abuse the app. Where it makes sense, we'll tell you why.

14No warranty#

In short

The app is provided "as is."

The app is free and provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will always work, be error-free, be secure, or keep your data forever. Keep your own backup with Settings → Export my data if your data matters to you.

15Limits on liability#

In short

We aren't responsible for indirect losses from using a free app.

As far as the law allows, the developer isn't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost progress, or lost ranked games, that come from using or not being able to use the app. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

16Changes to these terms#

In short

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date, and big changes will show in the app's What's new popup. If you keep using the app after a change, you agree to the new terms.

17Contact us#

The easiest way to reach us is Send feedback in the app (profile menu), or by opening an issue on GitHub. Please don't post private details like your email or password in a public GitHub issue. If your question is private, use Send feedback instead and we'll reply as soon as we can.

Still have questions? We're happy to help.
